Sexual Identity Defamiliarization Poems 5,6,7
Hey dad I like girls
I like their waist I like their breast I like their thigh I like their lips
I like girls dad I like them a lot
Dad
You like girls too, my mom was a girl once and you liked her
I know dad I know about girls more than you do
I know what they like I know what they want I know what they wait for all day
I know how to make them happy dad I know
Dad
Don’t give me that calm look dad
You know its crazy! You know its crazy! Is
It crazy?
It issssss dad
It issssss crazy
Because im a girl
Dad
Im a girl
and I like
girls
FACE TO FACE
What I found FACE TO FACE
It really didn’t make sense
So distance so cold when were involved FACE TO FACE
I thought you were the problem
My blank confusion faced you
I left in unresolved
When we got involved FACE TO FACE
Sexual desires didn’t match as it used to when we were apart
Everything ended FACE TO FACE
Touching you didn’t make sense
I left in unresolved.
We swim in a sexist pool
A big sexist pool with sexist fishes
Opening our big arms trying to swim to the top
for oxygen,
Hearing voices hearing steps.
getting closer by moving further from us
They start getting faster, faster and faster when they see a difference in us
a slight difference
my taste of shoes
my perspective of love
my attraction to identities

Love Extended Metaphor
The flower raised her head to the sun
As far as she could to feel warm again.
She dreamt that the sunshine pointed to her
Like she was the bullet of desire.
To be greeted by the sun every morning
She stood still and waited all night long.
She said It was worth it,
Every time the sun smiled upon her leaves.
Its worth to feel the warmth again,
Even after a cold night breeze.
Defamiliarization Poem
Are you afraid to be different?
Because all the faces you’ve never seen will turn their back at you.
Being yourself isn’t the best thing right?
Because you have a personality that no one has just to cover it up.
Does it feel like home when everyone expects you, when you’re not yourself?
I know you feel unique, special, one in a billion
Trying to hide yourself in a piece of invisible blanket that no one knows,
Except you.
Did you have in the mean time acting like puppets?
Its fun isn’t it, being someone else when there is you,
You in a million,
You in a billion.
Hiding under an invisible blanket.
Its fun isn’t it?
Darkness Inside
Anonymous faces where watching me on the street,
Warm wind was in an outrageous flirt
Controlling my eyelids to close softly.
Stop! I screamed opening my eyes to the open sky,
Lying to myself with blood and tears.
Smooth breeze turned into liquid
Reaching my eyes that bleed.
Enemy of raindrops hit me with a laugh.
Heal me heal me! I cried to the sun.
Night full of darkness came filling me with an air of neglect.

Sweet Sorrows
I’ve been in love four or five times so I doubt I want to try that much more often. [Mojgani]
I’m running away from falling for a bath in my tears.
There’s too much time to think, too much time to remember that it’s a lie.
When I take your hand, jigsaws fall into pieces.
When you let it go I lose myself, I lose myself.
Your voice keeps rapping up my head.
These are accidents that may happen.
I’m just killing time wondering about you.
Oh am I such a dreamer!
I’m living in a fantasy world.
I will laugh until my head goes off
Knowing that something’s will never wash away
For in a world of fast faces. [Mojgani]
